Santa Monica, California-based ZipRecruiter is taking its recruitment chops to reality TV, debuting on Fox’s new show “The Fixer” on July 18.
Investor and entrepreneur Marcus Lemonis is to be the exclusive hiring partner on the Fox show produced by the Shark Tank team. ZipRecruiter’s hiring technology will pair with Lemonis’ business acumen to assist small businesses in resolving hiring challenges. There’s even an opportunity to post job listings at no charge.
The innovative marketing strategy comes at a time when ZipRecruiter is struggling amid a sharp contraction in revenue since its peak in Q2 2022.
“Throughout my career turning around businesses, one truth has always stood out: hiring the right people is the key to success,” Lemonis said in a news release.
“Too often, small business owners struggle to find the talent they need to grow. I’ve seen firsthand how ZipRecruiter’s platform empowers them with access to qualified candidates and the tools to hire quickly. This collaboration was a natural fit.”
The collaboration is not just about showcasing ZipRecruiter on “The Fixer,” however. It will also utilize ZipRecruiter’s “Fix Your Hiring, Fix Your Business” campaign to include paid social advertising and targeted marketing and tools for small hiring.
“Hiring isn’t just a business function — it’s foundational,” said ZipRecruiter CMO Monika Shah, in the announcement. “We love how his [Lemonis’] approach speaks to the challenges that owners are directly facing. Together, we’re helping small businesses build the teams they need to succeed.”
ZipRecruiter will also launch its own online series, offering Lemonis’ insight and advice for small-business hiring managers.
ZipRecruiter is a leading employment marketplace, reporting 157 million job seeker users and 4.5 million business advertisers. It is due to publish its financial results for Q2 FY2025 (the three months to June 2025) on Aug. 11.
