Our Policies on Transparency, Conflict of Interest, Privacy, Legal & Community Etiquette
Transparency, collaboration & continuous improvement are the foundation of our community.
Transparency
CareerXroads (CXR), supports peer-driven Communities for Talent Acquisition (TA) professionals, including:
TA Leaders Community (TLC): Consisting of TA leaders and the recruiting practitioners working for them at every level who are focused on improving the hiring for their company and who share our values that peers have a responsibility to help one another.
TA Solutions Community (TSC): Limited to a small number of TA industry leaders working for tech vendors, agencies, consultancies and industry analysts who can see beyond their products and services and are deeply invested in advancing our industry as well as respecting and supporting their clients’ commitment to recruiting as a profession.
Our vetting process ensures that we bring in the right mix of members to both communities:
-
TLC Members are TA leaders and practitioners who are passionate about recruiting, eager to challenge themselves and others constructively, and committed to unconditionally sharing insights to improve our industry and support peers and colleagues.
-
TSC Members are founders, CEOs, and product developers responsible for their firm’s long-term success. They are also invested in initiatives that give back to the industry and are willing to share their technical or consulting expertise. Marketing and sales professionals are not considered for membership in the TSC and total membership of this community is maintained at a fraction of the TLC membership.
Our focus is weighted on being practitioner-first; ensuring that both TA professionals and TA solutions providers will engage meaningfully, share insights, and benchmark best practices. We aim to foster lasting relationships that benefit individuals, companies, and the industry.
Addressing Perception of Conflict of Interest (CoI)
In the interest of full transparency, CareerXroads commits to the following:
-
We do not seek or accept compensation for referring TA technology solutions or recruiting-related services. However, our members who do refer new prospects to our TSC or TLC communities may receive incentives in the form of discounts on future membership fees.
-
Rather than representing products or services that we do not use ourselves, we direct inquiries and connect members to peers who actively use the solutions and require that they be willing to share their experiences.
-
We do not sit on any ‘for-profit’ boards or advisory groups. Additionally, we strongly encourage our TLC and TSC members to publicly and proactively disclose financial relationships on their website and specifically when responding to RFI/Ps, speaking, consulting, or advising others.
-
We are committed to fostering unbiased collaboration. Discussions and insights shared within the community are aimed at constructive industry improvement and are not used to promote specific products or services. The consequences are spelled out in our rules section.
-
We respect and protect the privacy of our members. All interactions and shared insights are handled with strict confidentiality and in accordance with our privacy policies.

AI Usage on Our Site
As part of enhancing our community experience, we’ve introduced Leigh Daniels, an AI-powered community facilitator. Leigh is here to help guide discussions, ask follow-up questions, enhance search results, and ensure active engagement in our forums. Leigh is not designed to act as an industry-wide knowledge bot. Its purpose is solely to support community interactions and encourage member participation, learning, and maintaining a vibrant and collaborative environment for all.

While we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any information that you transmit to us, and you are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of any passwords or other account information. CXR reserves the right to terminate access to any user who does not abide by these guidelines.
Do not post any defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials. Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. By posting material, the posting party warrants and represents that he or she owns the copyright with respect to such material or has received permission from the copyright owner. In addition, the posting party grants CXR and users of this site the nonexclusive right and license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print, and use such information or other material.
Messages should not be posted if they encourage or facilitate members to arrive at any agreement that either expressly or impliedly leads to price fixing, a boycott of another's business, or other conduct intended to illegally restrict free trade. Messages that encourage or facilitate an agreement about the following subjects are inappropriate: salaries; profits, profit margins, or cost data; market shares, sales territories, or markets; allocation of customers or territories; or selection, rejection, or termination of customers or suppliers.
Community Etiquette
To ensure the best possible experience for all community members, we have established some basic guidelines for participation.
By joining and using this community, you agree that you have read and will follow these rules and guidelines. This is a great medium with which to solicit the advice of your peers, benefit from their experience, and participate in an ongoing conversation. To your best ability, we expect discussions, shared files and content that is relevant to the medium.
Please take a moment to acquaint yourself with these guidelines. Questions should be directed to a CXR community manager, CXR team member, or the CXR leadership team via the Contact Us link on this site.
The Rules:
-
Respect others. Focus on the content of posts and not on the people making them. Please extend the benefit of the doubt to newer guests and members; there’s no such thing as a stupid question.
-
Respect the purpose of the community. Use the community to share successes, challenges, constructive feedback, questions, and goals instead of products or services that you provide. If you’ve found a product or service helpful, please share your experience with the group in a respectful way and/or add a rating and feedback to those services or solutions within our solutions marketplace.
-
Use caution when discussing products. Information posted on the discussion groups and in the libraries is available for all to see, and comments are subject to libel, slander, and antitrust laws. Be honest and candid about your experience and avoid exaggerating in the positive or negative. Learning from each other is why we are here and why we share.
-
All defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal materials are strictly prohibited. Do not post anything that you would not want the world to see or that you would not want anyone to know came from you. While anonymous posting is allowed for security/privacy reasons when asking questions or responding to inquiries, our senior leadership team can audit the system to see who posted anonymously if an issue arises.
-
When posting items in our collaborative environment and sharing with your peers, please indicate if the item is not available for reuse. It’s also advisable to contact the owner of any material if you would like to reuse it.
-
Post your message or documents only to the most appropriate communities. This helps ensure all messages receive the best response by eliminating "noise."
Discussion Group Tips
-
State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject.
-
Send messages such as "thanks for the information" or "me, too" to individuals, not to the entire list. Do this by using the "Reply to Sender" link in every message.
-
Do not lobby for private calls or meetings outside of the community platform without coordinating with CXR leadership. Posting messages asking for private meetings or redirecting to an email address to discuss your topic reduces the value of the community to everyone else and isn't an ideal way to maximize your own membership and strengthen your network and reputation. CXR is happy to help set up group meetings online, special events, and to connect those interested in expanded discussions.
-
Do not send administrative messages, such as “remove me from the list,” to the group. Instead, use the web interface to change your settings or to remove yourself from a list. If you are changing email addresses, you do not need to remove yourself from the list and rejoin under your new email address. Simply change your settings.
-
In order to preserve a positive community environment that encourages both civil and fruitful dialogue, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership in this community without refund or credit for any single user or collective users of a company who violates these rules and guidelines.
Commitment to Continuous Improvement
We are dedicated to continuous improvement and actively seek feedback from our members to enhance the value and functionality of our communities. To further this, we have established a Community Growth Advisory, consisting of approximately 10% of our membership leaders from both the TLC and TSC. This advisory board helps ensure we adhere to our values and continue to innovate.
Our commitment to transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement is at the core of CareerXroads. We believe that when members share these core values we build trust between peers and colleagues and, collectively, we are able to advance our profession and improve our industry.
