SMS Messaging Policy — CXR Marketplace Live

1. About this policy
This SMS Messaging Policy describes how CareerXroads ("CXR," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects mobile phone numbers and SMS consent in connection with the CXR Marketplace Live event program. CareerXroads operates the related domains careerxroads.com, cxr.works, and community.cxr.works. This SMS policy applies specifically to SMS messaging for CXR Marketplace Live events and supplements, but does not replace, the general CXR Privacy Policy available at main community Privacy Policy page.
2. Program description
CXR Marketplace Live is an in-person CXR event at which registered attendees participate in structured interactions with HR technology vendors, complete polls, submit vendor feedback, and receive logistics information via a mobile event application. SMS is used to support attendee participation before and during the event.
3. How we collect your mobile number and consent
You provide your mobile number and SMS consent only through our public CXR Marketplace Live registration form. Consent is collected through a dedicated, un-pre-checked opt-in checkbox that is separate from our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy acknowledgements. You must both provide your mobile number and affirmatively check the SMS consent box to opt in. Submitting the registration form without checking the SMS consent box does not enroll you in SMS messaging.
The consent language presented at registration reads:
"I agree to receive SMS messages from CXR Marketplace Live about event login, rotations, polls, and vendor feedback. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."
4. Types of messages you will receive
Once opted in, you may receive the following categories of transactional SMS messages from CXR Marketplace Live:
- One-time login and verification codes for the event application
- Networking rotation assignments and schedule updates
- Poll and survey prompts during the event
- Speaker/Presenter feedback prompts
- Event logistics updates (venue, timing, check-in, emergency notifications)
We do not send marketing or promotional SMS messages under this program.
5. Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on event activity. Typical attendees receive approximately 5–15 messages across the duration of a 1–2 day event.
6. Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Rates are determined by your mobile carrier. CXR is not responsible for carrier charges.
7. Opt-out
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. After you send STOP, you will receive a single confirmation message and will not receive further SMS messages from the CXR Marketplace Live program. To re-subscribe, you may reply START or complete a new registration with SMS consent.

9. Privacy of your mobile information
Mobile information, including phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent, is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties.
Your mobile number is used solely to deliver the SMS messages described in Section 4 and to authenticate your identity within the CXR Marketplace Live event application. We share your mobile number only with service providers strictly necessary to deliver these messages (for example, our SMS delivery provider, Twilio), and only to the extent required for them to perform services on our behalf. Our service providers are contractually prohibited from using your mobile information for their own marketing purposes.

10. Supported carriers
This program is available on most major U.S. mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
11. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the authorized account holder (or have permission from the authorized account holder) of the mobile number you provide.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this SMS Messaging Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued participation in the program after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
